A calf and sunshine

40 miles my wheel and emotions
twist and turn.
I miss you.
Have I lost you?
Am I doomed to ride this merry-go-round
of struggling enlightenment and darkness?
To the left,
A group of pearl white cows shuffle in the
Tall waving grass
On a miniature pilgrimage. To where?
The pace of the herd dictates it is nowhere of particular excitement.
But then I see her
Trotting up from the rear.
The one calf,
Small and fluffy,
Excited to see where the herd is heading.
She is searching for that brisk wind and
The sting of the grass on her skin as she hustles
To the head of the pack.
This moment is everything.
Blinded by sunlight and tears,
Do you feel me now?
